Thursday evening we were very privileged to be invited to the soft launch of “Rub Me Tender ” at Trinity Brewery in Lichfield.

Rub Me tender many you will know, have been appearing at festivals and events around the region selling their amazing food, and will now be at Trinity Brewery every Thursday to Sunday every week as a permanent residency

Thursday 5pm till 10pm

Friday 5pm till 10pm

Saturday 12pm till 10pm

Sunday 12pm till 8 pm

For those who have not been to Trinity Brewery it is a micro brewery situated on a small industrial estate off Birmingham Road, not the place you would except to find some of the best BBQ food I have ever eaten. You can sit inside the brewery or outside either on colourful picnic tables or very comfortable sofas.

You order your food at the kitchen we had the Classic Cuban Sandwich and the House Nachos. Whilst waiting for your food wander down to the bar and order yourself one of the amazing Trinity beers or even a short or glass of wine.

Our food arrived and wow! Nicely presented and smelling amazing. The Nachos with chilli beef smoked beans and chipotle mayo were wonderful, full of flavour and texture. The cuban sandwich, hickory smoked mojo pork, sweet mustard, dill pickles all in a soft roll, the flavour was exceptional. Tender pork with a wonderful smokey flavour complemented by the dill pickles and slaw.

At 12.00pm today the latest Ale Hub Micropub opened in Mere Green, this is number 4 for the enterprising owners Cambell and Connor with the others in Worcester and two in Solihull.

The Ale Hub is a micropub specialising in cask ales, craft beers and a variety of gins. We are a pub that listens to it’s customers, brings that traditional pub feel to the community, and offers a variety of classic pub snacks.

“The Ale Hub Micropub is a family run business who’s goal is to revitalise the local pub scene and provide the community with a choice of refreshing and well-kept beverages in a relaxed and friendly environment. This was based on personal experiences at existing drinking establishments where the ale was often poorly kept and the lines were not properly maintained. We decided to create an establishment where quality and cleanliness were the priority. At the Ale Hub you know this is guaranteed and all our drinks have been kept properly and treated with the respect they deserve, meaning you get a fantastic service and most importantly a delicious drink.
