Town Hall Talks – Jess Phillips MP
Campaigner, Author and MP for Yardley, Jess Phillips has rescheduled her talk at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall to Thursday 14 October.
Before becoming a Labour Party MP, Jess worked for Women’s Aid in Sandwell developing services for victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, human trafficking and exploitation. She became a councillor in 2012 and was recognised for her work supporting residents by being made Birmingham’s first ever Victims Champion.
As well as concentrating on issues of domestic violence and violence against women, Jess’s speeches and books inspire people to have the courage to speak up and make a difference.
Jess Phillips’ two bestselling books ‘Everywoman: One Woman’s Truth About Speaking The Truth’ and ‘Truth to Power: 7 Ways to Call Time on BS’ will be available for signing on the night, or customers can bring their own copies for signing.
