Rock The Beacon

Last week end saw the launch of the much anticipated “Rock The Beacon Music & Food Festival” In the words of organisers Robert Hoffman and Chris Howell “Its been a long road getting here with many challenges along the way, and we hope we’ve got it right for the first year at this site. Tickets for Saturday have exceeded our expectations and Sunday sales are looking good, so we look like we are in for an amazing weekend”

The festival featured some of the UK’s top tribute bands along with up and coming local bands and solo performers spread across three stages.

Saturday saw Kings of Leighton open proceedings in glorious sunshine with a terrific set followed by QuoMotion and Oasiis. The evening saw The Foo Fighters, Dizzy Lizzy and Whole Lotta DC raised the roof playing crowd pleasing favourites.

Sunday opened at a much slower pace with the nostalgic singing of the Vintage Class Singers then Decades Live managed to get the vocal chords of the crowd warmed up read for The Mark Green Elvis Experience who went down a storm with your and old alike AC 30’s followed with a Ska and Reggae set followed by The Top 10 Beatles an amazing set from Take A Chance on Us ABBA with QE2 (Queen) bring things to a close.

Plans are already in motion to bring the festival back in 2020.
