Sutton Coldfield Musical Theatre Company is proud to lead the way in bringing a wide range of musicals to the Midlands’ non-professional scene. Having started in 1933 as Sutton Coldfield Operatic Society, the company continues to present a highly professional standard to each show it produces.
Noted for its wide range of both young and experienced members, the company welcomes new members who can either perform on stage (acting, singing and dancing) or help out backstage during the show.
In 1937 a group of people got together to form the basis of the company that is today known as CLOC Musical Theatre Company. Many changes have taken place since that first meeting in 1937, some of them voluntary, some of them forced upon us. The name has changed several times: Perry Standing Light Opera Section of Kingstanding Community Association (KCA), Light Opera Section of Circle Community Association (CCA), Circle Light Opera Company Kingstanding (C.L.O.C.K.). The change to Circle Light Opera Company (C.L.O.C.) came about when we left the community centre where we rehearsed and performed for many years and moved to the Maryvale Centre. We now rehearse at St Marks Church, Bandywood Crescent, Kingstanding. In 2011 it was decided to change the name to CLOC Musical Theatre Company to reflect the fact that the company perform Musicals rather than Opera.

We are Trinity, a brewery comprised of 3 like-minded individuals with the same aim of bringing you world class craft beer from the heart of England, our 8 barrel brewery in Lichfield will be producing new wave craft beer from IPA’s to Impy stouts and everything in between. We have taken the name Trinity for a trio of reasons, There are 3 of us in the brewery John, Rob and Mike, we are in Lichfield famed for its 3 spired cathedral and we will be producing beer in 3 formats Keg, Can and Cask.
Trinity brew co. was established in 2020, with a view to making the best modern craft beers, our tap room is also the home of Rub me Tender BBQ.

Chess players are being invited to join one of the largest and most successful chess clubs in the West Midlands.
The venue is Minworth Club from 7pm every Monday night (main night) and every Thursday night – visitors and guests are always welcome!
The Minworth Club has wheelchair access, a large free car park, and also serves food and drink.
The new league seasons will start in October 2021 and the club is continually recruiting players of all standards. Out of season there are mini-tourneys, club championships, lectures, simultaneous displays, along with friendly games and informal analysis.
