Legally Blonde

May 2023 sees the triumphant return of Sutton Coldfield Musical Youth Theatre (SCMYT) to the Town Hall with another smash-hit show – Legally Blonde the Musical.

Many will be familiar with the much-loved film starring Reese Witherspoon as law student, Elle Woods, who, despite appearances, sets out to prove everyone wrong and forge a career in law!

Elle is a girl who appears to have it all, but her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend, Warner, dumps her so he can attend Harvard Law School.

Determined to win him back, Elle ingeniously charms her way into the prestigious school – much to everyone’s surprise!

While there, she struggles with peers, professors, her ex and his new love interest but, with the support of some new friends, Elle quickly realises her true potential and sets out to show the world exactly what she is made of.

Legally Blonde the Musical is a fabulously fun tale crammed full of catchy songs with a heart-warming, uplifting and hilarious story.

This award-winning musical takes us with its heroine, Elle, along her transformation from ditsy (but deceptively clever) girl next door to fully fledged legal eagle as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams.

Action-packed and exploding with memorable songs and dynamic dances – this musical is so much fun, it really shouldn’t be legal!
