This sparks jealousy among his eleven brothers, who sell him into slavery in Egypt and tell their father he is dead. Despite hardship, Joseph rises from servant to prisoner, and ultimately becomes Pharaoh’s trusted advisor after interpreting dreams that foretell famine.\n\nAs Joseph’s wisdom saves Egypt, his starving brothers unknowingly come to him for help. Disguised, Joseph tests their character, then reveals his true identity in a joyful reunion.
