DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Boldmere Summer Festival (Commonwealth Games Theme) will take place on Sunday 17th July 2022 from 1pm to 6pm. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you would like to volunteer for any of our festivals, please visit www.boldmere.org/volunteer ( https://www.boldmere.org/community-festivals/volunteers-welcome/ )\n\nBirmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and British Triathlon / Triathlon England\n\n\nWe are delighted to be welcoming Commonwealth Games 2022 who will be bringing their cut-down version of their roadshow to us including wheelchair basketball.  In addition, British Triathlon and Triathlon England will be present offering visitors the opportunity to try out a mini triathlon with turbos, bikes, cones, running and a changeover area.  All this will take place on the Harvester Car Park.\n                \n \n \nFunfair includes:\n\nFerris Wheel in the Harvester car park\nPlanes ride\nCup and saucer ride\nBungee trampolines\nRoundabout\nHook-a-Duck\nGalloping horses carousel\n\n\n\n \n\n\nStreet food includes:\n\nProject Doughnut\nLashford hot dogs from The Deli Social\nBubble Bar including draft IPAs, lagers and ciders and gins, craft spirits, wines, Prosecco, shots and soft drinks\nThirsty Farmer Cider\nGrill Brazil\nIce-cream from Cannock Dairies ( http://cannockdairies.co.uk/ )\nGerman cookies, French macarons and injected cupcakes from Emma’s Kitchen Creations\nGourmet chocolate brownies from Chocolate Treats\nA range of Caribbean food from Spice it up BBQ\nFrizzante 175r, cocktails and premium lager from Aperitivo\nChinese noodles and dumplings from Dumpling King\nWaffles and milkshakes from The Shakey Waffle\nClassic Wine Company selling locally produced wine\nSeafood from Le Petit Bois\nSourdough doughnuts and other treats from Taartie\nBiltong from the Little Sutton Biltong Company\n\nPlus over 50 market stalls, your favourite Boldmere shops, community police and fire brigade (subject to operational requirements).\nThe schedule for the Main Stage is:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n13:00-13:45\nClive Scott Steel Pan Band\n\n\n14:00 – 14:20\nPlantsbrook School – Soundlab-BRUM\nSoundlab-BRUM is a creative after school music making session run by The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Soundlab-BRUM works across four schools across the city including Plantsbrook School in Sutton Coldfield, allowing young musicians to create, write and perform their own music as well as collaborating with other young creatives across the city.\n\n\n14:35-15:25\nNifeco Costa and Babcock Djazz\nNifeco Costa moved to the UK from Guinea Bissau, west Africa following several years in Portugal performing many events and shows. He moved to the UK and formed Babcock Djazz made of a combination of local musicians with origins from around the globe\n\n\n15:40-16:30\nFriendly Fire Band – Birmingham’s premier live reggae and dancehall outfit.\nTheir “It’s a Brum Ting” single as part of the “on Record” album for Birmingham 2022, will be the official soundtrack for the BBC’s coverage of the Commonwealth Games\n\n\n17:00-18:00\nBrad Henshaw Band (international singer and songwriter)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
